Hair extensions that are thick enough for my hair are super rare. I generally use synthetic sets but I got sick of not being able to style my hair properly and decided to give Foxy Locks a try. I did a tonne of research on the top brands, figuring out who’s sets are thickest, most affordable and have the best reviews. In the end, I went with Foxy Locks. Did they live up to the hype? Here’s my Foxy Locks Luxurious Extensions Review…
In terms of thickness, my hair is about as thick as it gets. Which is great, until it comes to finding hair extensions that don’t break the bank. I decided to go with the thickest Foxy Locks have to offer, the Luxurious 24″ Weft. I knew 24″ was going to be way too long but if you need the thickness, it’s best to order the longer set and have them cut. The Luxurious Weft has a whopping 280g of hair spread over 8 wefts. I found that on most days, I don’t even need to use the whole pack. I prefer my hair to get a bit thinner towards the ends (I think it looks more believable) so I probably could have got the second thickest pack. If your hair is a similar thickness to mine and you love the full haired look, go with the Luxurious set and you won’t be disappointed!
They’re definitely the softest and easiest to style hair extensions I’ve ever had. I don’t seem to have a problem with curls holding or hair shedding. The clips on the weft are really small and discreet which is A+. Is there anything more annoying than bulky extension clips? Because the clips are small it does make them easier to style in an up-do or straight style’s. Since my hair is Balayage I do have to tone my hair regularly and the extensions react well with the toner.
I did manage to pick mine up in the sale so I ended up paying £152 instead of £190. Which to be honest, is an absolute steal. I do however think that they’re worth the full price. I’ve had mine for a few months now and they’re still in perfect condition with minimal shedding. I use heat on mine virtually every day and so far, there are no split ends of dryness. Personally, I can’t recommend these enough if you’re looking for super thick, good quality, affordable extensions.
