SUPERFOODS THAT WILL UP YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE

It’s nothing new that veggies are good for you. I am totally guilty of not eating my 5 a day, or even 3 a day. All that said, there are a few veggies to keep a look out for if you want to make the most out of your veggie intake. Here are some superfoods that will up your beauty routine…

Spinach

If it’s good enough for Popeye, it’s good enough for me. This leafy green is packed full of Vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for skin & hair growth. Adding a cup full of spinach to your morning smoothie will not only give you an energy boost, it will give your hair the vitamins it needs to grow. Plus it’s a lot cheaper than hair extensions.

Figs

A lot of the time, the nutrients we ingest won’t make it out of the digestive tract and into the skin. It’s sad but true. A great way to ensure you get the most out of your vitamins is eating figs. Figs are amazing for cleansing the digestive tract of toxins and in turn, allowing vitamins to actually reach the skin.

Pineapple

An apple a day keeps the doctor away and a pineapple a day lets you put off that facial for an extra few weeks. Pineapple is a body cleansing marvel. Reducing inflammation, ridding toxins and improving digestion. Allowing nutrients to reach the skin meanwhile, helping the production of collagen. And I mean, who really needs an excuse to eat more pineapple anyway…

Almonds

We know they’re great for snacking but they’re also great for giving dry skin an extra boost. Bursting with Vitamin E, this nut is amazing for the skin. There’s research that shows Vitamin E fights signs of aging and can protect the skin from harmful UV rays. Maybe next time your order that Frappucino, order it with almond milk and give your skin a lil boost.

Sweet potatoes

Eat fries and fight dull skin? Sign me up. Sweet potatoes are loaded with Vitamin A & Vitamin C. Two major components in neutralizing cell tissue-damaging radicals. The main cause for the dreaded dull skin effect. So if your skin looking a little lackluster, add some sweet potato into your diet.
